FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash, local checks and most major credit cards. Please note: We accept cards as a convenience but unfortunately it is not free to process and I am too small to absorb that processing charges.
ALL credit card transactions will be charged 3% on top of the price to use a card. Cash is king! 

Who will be tinting my vehicle?
Currently Faulk's Custom Tint is a two person operation. Owners Brian or Krista Faulk will be installing your window tinting.

How long does it normally take to tint my car?
Small jobs such as two front doors can be done in about 40 minutes. Larger jobs such as a sedan with 9 or 10 total windows can take up to 3 hours to complete. Average time is about 2 to 3 hours on a full vehicle.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes it is preferred,  we stay pretty busy most of the time so it's hard to take many walk ins. We do want your business and will work with you to get your vehicle done as quickly as possible.

Do i have to drop my car off or can I wait while you do the work?
No , we completely understand that dropping a vehicle off can be inconvenient and it is not necessary. We have a nice waiting area so you are welcome to wait while we tint your vehicle.  

Is it legal to put tint on my windows?  
Yes it is however there are restrictions on how dark you can go on certain windows. You can easily search your state regulations here TINTLAWS.COM  

What does my lifetime warranty cover?
For as long as you own your vehicle, if the tint ever peels, bubbles, blisters, cracks, fades, or fails as the result of a defect.  I will replace it at no charge to you, no questions asked! 
 
What does the film manufacturer cover? 
The film we install on your vehicle comes with a nationwide limited lifetime warranty as long as it is installed in compliance with state law

​What does my warranty NOT cover? 
We are fair and always stand behind our work, we typically do not cover incidents of damage such as seatbelt chips or other types of damage to the tint. We also do not cover loss in event of damage or an accident. 
 
We are not responsible for tickets or not being able to get the vehicle inspected among other things beyond our control


​What shades of tint do you have?
 We currently offer SEVERAL different shades, everything from extremely dark to nearly transparent, please see or Shades page for more info.

What do the percentages mean?
Referring to the VLT (visible light transmittance) 5% film is blocking 95% of the visible light passing through the window. The lower the number the darker the film.

Do you use computer cutting or hand cutting when tinting?
we do use a computer cutting system for many installations but we are very skilled in the art of hand cutting so I will use the method that yields the best results for your particular vehicle.
 
Will you take my windows out to tint them?
Absolutely NOT! This is not necessary  to tint your windows.  

Will you take anything else apart to tint my vehicle?
We typically remove the inner window sweeps which may require partial door panel removal on some vehicles. We are gentle and experienced, so no worries.
