Shades do not need to be decided upon prior to booking but i want you to have some understanding of tint shades. I will discuss further at the time of your appointment.

  • We currently stock 70% 55% 45% 35% 30% 20% 15% and 5%

  • The lower the number the darker the tint

  • 35% NET is the limit all around on cars and the front doors of trucks and SUV's

  • Most vehicles have some pigmenting in the glass that makes it read darker, so 45% will be closer to 35% on the glass, 35% will be closer to 28% ECT

  • 45% is the only film I will guarantee to meet the 35% law requirements in MD/WV

  • The factory privacy glass in the rear of many trucks and SUV's is around 20%, those vehicles are exempt behind the driver and passenger windows. Cars are not.

  • I can match up the front using 20% or 15% by just tinting the front doors depending on the vehicle, I usually meter them to verify what will match. Matching is not typically in compliance but it's your vehicle so i let you decide.

  • Also some choose to go over the factory privacy glass in the rear of trucks and SUV's to make them darker, tinting over privacy glass is not a problem.

  • I use 5% for the visor strips on the tops of the windshield. There is no shade law on that, it just needs to be no more than 5inches an d not below the ASI to be in compliance.

  • Visor strips are cut to your specifications
